Recipe - Beryl's Yummy Brie
| at 7:07 AM
1 pkg Peppridge Farms puff pastry (sheets)
8 oz brie round
2 tbsp chopped pecans
2 tbsp brown sugar
Egg white and water wash
Seedless red raspberry preserves
Spray baking sheet with Pam or similiar product. Put one sheet of puff pastry on prepared pan, and allow to come to room temperature. Remove white covering from top of brie exposing the cheese. Place cheese in the center of the pastry. Mix chopped pecans and brown sugar and sprinkle over cheese, just enough to cover. Gently wrap pastry around cheese, pulling corners up and twisting to enclose the cheese. Using water, seal all edges so that the cheese doesn't run out as it heats. Combine one egg white with water, and brush over sealed pastry. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. Allow to cool slightly, then spread red raspberry preserves over the top if desired.
Serve with, apples, grapes or your choice of fruits and crackers.

1. 3 cups (plus) diced boiled chicken breasts.
2. 2 cans asparagus cut
3. 1 cup diced american cheese.
4. 1or 2 cans mushroom stems and pieces
5. 1 small jar pimiento (optional)
6. 1 small jar green stuff olives cut up.
7. 1 can black olives cut (optional)
8. 1/2 cup cashew nuts pieces ( I usually use more)
9. 1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped onions
10. 1/2 chopped green pepper
11. 1/2 cup mayommaise
12. 1 can cream of chicken soup
13. 1 can cream of mushroom soup
14. 1 large can chowmein noddles
15. 4 to 6 ounces of cooked egg noodles
Mix all ingredients except asparagus and chowmein
noodled. Put 1/2 the mixture in a large casserole
dish. Layer the drained asparagus on top, then cover
with the other half of the mixture. Cover the top with
chowmein noodles.
I usually cover it with tinfoil, so the noodles don't get
dried out. The last 15 minutes I uncover and continue
baking.
Serves 12 to 15.
